Identity

Francesco Dondina was among the founding partners of the cultural project that led to the establishment of the first Children's Museum in Italy and that had Bruno Munari among its inspirers in the late 1990s.

Since 2012 Francesco Dondina has been Art Director of Muba, and Dondina Associati Studio has over the years been responsible for the visual identity project, the Mubabooks publishing series, the coordinated image of the temporary exhibitions, and the various visual communication materials and programs.

Among the various exhibitions that have taken place in the 18th-century rooms of the Rotonda di via Besana intended for children, we recall Vietato non toccare, realized in collaboration with the Bruno Munari Association and which gave rise to a series of lectures entitled Munari oltre Munari dedicated to the topicality of the Master's thought and works. Speakers included Paola Antonelli, Stefano Salis, Giovanni Anceschi, Stefano Bartezzaghi, Giorgio Lucini and Alberto Munari.

The exhibition Colore was created with the aim of introducing children to the world of colours and light through an exciting, active and sensorial journey. The ability to use colours properly is not a gift of nature, but is the result of correct education. Like music, colour has precise harmonic rules, and it is important to learn to discover them from pre-school age. Understanding colour involves The exhibition-game was divided into four different installations, curated by MUBA and Francesca Valan - Colour Designer, with the support of some professionals from the world of art, illustration and photography.
The health emergency forced Muba to give up - for several months - direct contact with the public. Mubabox is the Muba experience offered outside the museum and accessible directly from home. If children cannot go to the museum, Muba can come to their homes.

The proposal encompasses several peculiarities: digital content that can be activated via QRcode, individual kits, creative stimuli, and the quality of the experience guaranteed by the Muba methodology. Mubabox-Rompete le righe! contains a series of educational proposals to stimulate the creativity of children from 6 to 11 years old, with the alphabet, letters and words as protagonists.
